What kind of suggestions do you have for Skyward Sword? I'm kinda sad they changed from the TP mature look...but the "painting" style looks good as well. Also kinda hoping they bring back teh clawshot/hookshot. It wouldn't be a 3D Zelda without it.

Also, what kind of gimmick do you think they're going to have? (Time travel, wolf, big/small etc...) Do you think they're not going to have a gimmick? All important questions.

From my understanding the gimmick is supposed to be the sword itself. Not just the 1 to 1 motion, but more! The mystery girl from the first picture (Adel) is supposed to play a part in that some how too.

Supposedly the sword itself has upgradable abilities! Some pretty wild ones to. The airslice gets more powerful, the spin attack upgrades. But of course that's the stuff we're use to! So what kind of new powers could it possibly get? As for now, we only know of one. The sword works like a divining rod to seek out hidden treasures. That's right! A treasure hunting ability!

On top of that, they already said they were going to have less items than most tLoZ games, but you'll find yourself using them far more often than other games too. (Unlike in other Zelda games where Sword, Arrows, HookShot, and the occational Bomb is all you need! The other items are only really used in the respective dungeons you find them in! LIKE THE SPINNER! Such a cool item, so few uses....)

On top of that top (lol, top, like the spinner), we already know it's gonna take place before OOT, so this game could finally explain how the Hyrulian Wars ended, who were the first sages, how did they seal the Sacred Relm, and when was the Master Sword first crafted, used, and place in the Temple of Time!

We also already know this game will be set in a painted world focusing on the beauty of the scenery, unlike TP's shaded world which focuses more on the drama of the game! Of course they said they plan to tinker with the classic dungeon hopping formula and how it relates to the overworld! And supposedly they plan to release it in America very closely to the release date in Japan. That just means more waiting for the japanese!

So....what else do we know......rollable and lobable bombs.....remote control beetle.....slingshot......whip....arrows......Movable shield............run function............We can also tell there is a forest with trees, Boko babas (Maybe even Deku babas), large mushrooms, a newly and strangly designed bokoblin, and a lava level with keese and bomb flowers somewhere along the way!

Essentialy, I'm more worried about how they add to the legend of the Master Sword. Rememer! Navi said it was all ready legendary the first moment we ever saw it in OOT! Oh the mystery.....

It could be a legendary sword just because the sages crafted it.

Anywho. I hope they introduce a new gimmick to the series.

Clawshot is a must. Lets hope Epona comes back. And maybe even a guider; Midna, Navi, Ezlo, Zelda, wow there are a lot.

I've heard that this Adelle lady is the helper character, but sometimes she isn't there to help, and that's when she supposedly talks through the sword.

I love the painting style on the landscape, but I hate the character design for Link! He's wearing pants for crying out loud! His feet are too tiny! And so is his head!

Sorry for that anger explosion, but I really wanted to let that out!

He's always worn tights! What are you guys talking about! Show me one game where his legs were bare!!!

But that aside, I think he looks fine. A perfect fusion of WW and TP Link. ....as disturbing as a fusion as that is....

The pants weren't neccesary. They make him have an ugly shape!


SS Link's shape is like a diamond/rhumbis shape. UGLY

OoT Link's shape is a manly hourglass shape Very Happy

I know that's weird for some of you, but character design is one of the most important things in a video game, or anything artistic for that matter.
SS Link's shape is so..... UNFLATTERING!!!!!!

So his tights are a little more baggy, you guys seem to forget that actually seeing Link was actually a gimick for the first 3D Zelda!
Miyamoto invisioned a FPA! First Person Adventure game! But decided to change the perspective to third person to put an emphises on the change in age!
In Majora's Mask, they kept it that way for the sake of seeing the different forms (and the fact that the game engine was pretty much ported along with most of the graphics).
By the time windwaker rolled around, we were so use to seeing it in that perspective (and they were so use to building puzzles in that perspective) that they kept it with the excuse "It made the sailing sequences more navigatable!"
With the birth of Twilight Princess, they decided that third person view would be neccessary if the game series was to keep moving into the realm of "1 to 1 motion" (Of course Wolf Link would have made a good excuse too).

It's like Nintendo completely denies the fact that Third person Zeldas' were a convienience that ended up to recognized and popular to risk changing!

There is! There has to be! Just about every Zelda game has had an alternate realm since aLttP! Be it light realm dark realm, past preset, present future, surfaceworld underwolrd, above the sea undah da sea, light realm twilight realm. ALL that good stuff! And if you read the interview, they spoke of a "Sky realm" sounds like someone got crazy with the whole ooca thing! Either that or the wind tribe from Minish cap. Either way it should be good!
