Okay, so I'm not amazing, but I do think of myself as a novice spriter. Here I will take suggestions for sprites. I'll show you some of my work:



So yeah that's just about it. Tell me what you want me to make or what I can improve on. NO sprite sheets, though. I just don't have the time. Oh yeah, as far as I know MS Paint does not have any way of making transparent backgrounds, so you'll just have to deal with the white.

Awesome sprites. I know Paint shop Pro can have transparent backgrounds.

OHHHHH I want to show you my spriting soooo bad but me and my buddy coco agreed I wouldn't untill we finished the character pack!

Me and my best friend coco build characters for a "build your own fighting game" called MUGEN. I make the character sprites, he programs them into fighter factory.

So far I've succesfully made a Geno sprite sheet (from Super Mario RPG) using the older more limited "Paper Geno" sprites off of Spriter's Resource. And an "Infintry Guy" spite sheet, he's a Shy Guy built around the idea of being militarily trained.

We agreed we wouldn't release any of the sprites untill the we released the characters. Otherwise, faster and better character builders would be waaaaay ahead of us!

That being said, great stuff! Maybe I can show you some of the fake pokemon I made! (Ironiclly I sprited those for coco's little brother, whom hacks and builds pokemon games!)

That's cool. I have no sprite power. I have tried making games. But I have a lack of sprites.

OHHHHHH Cool I'd be more than happy to see those fake pokemon. So, about the game, do you make your own sprites from scratch, or build off of other ones? Or both?

At first I followed the tutorials and and used the sprites that went with the tutorials. Then I tryied editing what I found but the game I was trying to make failed. Now I need to find some sprites. In not sheet form. Or I need to take a sprite sheet and get the indivisual sprites.

Tutorials from what? Did you find one on the internet, or did it come with whatever program you're using?

(I also want to hear more about this game of yours, but we might as well take that to EM or VM to prevent an off-topic thread.)

I downloaded Game Maker I want to make a game for the site but I don't know what to make it of.

Making games are NOT easy, but once you learn how, it's really fun! For the most part I use existing sprites for characters and edti customs for the smaller stuff like weapons and battle effects.

Yeah, I know. Building off of other stuff is so much easier than being original. I envy Nintendo's awesome work.

Yeah, you really should. You've told us about some of your work, so it's only fair for you to show some of it. The stuff you can, I mean.

Anyway... suggestions. Hmm... I wish other people would notice this discussion and give some input.

(Also, my internet has taken a flarp on itself. A huge, messy, sticky flarp. It only works between the hours of 10:00 pm and 6:00 am. That coupled with school is going to make me more-or-less inactive. Don't be offended if I don't respond for days on end.)

Ironically, I'm stuck. I've played ALttP many times, yet I can't remember what to do at my current point. I think I'm going to have to injure my pride and look at ZD's walkthrough
